According to a guerrilla group of gardeners who are gardening on public lands, a garden can be so small that it fits in a pothole, a purse or a shoe. Pothole Gardening: An Example What a playful idea this is.
This causes me to recall a comment by R Reagan about how the Parks Service couldn't maintain things because a marmot was living in a pothole in the middle of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park (CO). Surprisingly we knew the gentleman was correct - on this if little else - as we had seen said hole, with marmot in situ, the week before.
I suspect that occupant wouldn't assist gardening!
